COVID-19 Letter from Steven Levin

When people band together and persevere in times like these, they not only survive, but thrive.

– Steven Levin, Centennial CEO

To Our Friends and Neighbors:

From my family and the Centennial family, I want to express our concern for everyone’s health and safety. Currently, we all have the responsibility to act with care for ourselves, our family, our co-workers and our friends. Throughout my career, I have learned that when people band together and persevere in times like these, they not only survive, but thrive.

Centennial has properties in seven states throughout the country, and we want you to know, we are absolutely committed to each and every community in which our shopping centers reside. We are passionate about creating destinations with innovative gathering spaces that make our shopping centers third-place, homes-away-from-home for everyone in our communities to enjoy. As I have said in many local gatherings and town hall meetings, you can count on Centennial because we’re in this with you, for the long haul – and that statement is as true today as it was then.

Because we consider ourselves such an integral part of each of our centers’ communities, we want to walk the walk. That is why we were the very first real estate developer to close all the properties in our portfolio. Doing so was a difficult decision made strictly with the health and well-being of our shoppers, employees and tenants top of mind – and it was the right thing to do to help curb transmission of the coronavirus in each of our neighborhoods and villages.

Since we live, work and shop in the same communities that you do, we know many of you personally and consider you our friends and neighbors. As such, you can rest assured that we will treat you like we would if you lived right next door. We will continue to track the viral outbreaks in our communities, working closely with government and local healthcare officials, and we will implement policies for our shopping centers that are made first and foremost with your best interests in mind.

We are committed to our shoppers and their families, to our communities, to our employees, tenants and business partners, and we will get through this together, one day at a time. Until then, stay safe, healthy and strong.

With concern and compassion,

Steven Levin
