Development

In addition to acquisitions and management contracts, Centennial has significant redevelopment projects underway at a number of its centers, including Hawthorn Mall, Fox Valley Mall and MainPlace Mall. Centennial masterplans every asset with a short- and long-term vision for the project. Armed with best-in-class real estate, a team of redevelopment experts and a proven playbook, Centennial has become the industry’s leader in transforming yesterday’s suburban malls into tomorrow’s most dominant mixed-use destinations. Many developers are talking about mall to mixed-use conversions, but Centennial is executing on this complex strategy with shovels in the ground and thousands of multifamily units under construction or nearing completion nationally.

Years ago, Centennial acknowledged its mission to strategically and thoughtfully transform retail real estate into mixed-use, dominant destinations. It pledged to combine technology, innovation, architecture and design to create a one-of-a-kind experience and enhance each center’s dining and entertainment options, turning its owned and managed properties into community hubs in their respective markets. Today’s announcement shines a light on the many ways Centennial has delivered on those promises and will continue to deliver and expand upon those visions in the months and years to come.
