Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Steven is a 40-year veteran of the real estate industry with experience in investment, management and financing of commercial real estate. In addition to his role as founder and chief executive officer at Centennial, Steven is also a leading investor and board member of Imaginarium S.A., a Spanish company that operates an international chain of educational-based toy and play stores.

Prior to the formation of Centennial in 1997, Steven served as executive vice president of Patriot American Corp., a real estate investment, and management company. From 1987 through 1994, Mr. Levin was the founder and chief executive officer of Hampton Real Estate Group, Inc., a national real estate investment, asset management, and property management company with a portfolio of commercial properties in excess of $500 million.

In 1982, Steven co-founded The Levin Companies, Inc., a Texas-based real estate investment, and property management company. Prior to that, he was owner and president of a women’s apparel retailer with 60 stores located in malls and community shopping centers throughout Texas and the Southwest.

Steven is a member of ICSC and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) where he served previously on the Urban Development/Mixed-Use Council.

President

Paul is a real estate executive with over 25 years of open-air, lifestyle, and enclosed mall real estate experience. Throughout his industry tenure, he has worked for some of the most distinguished global real estate and entertainment companies in the world including The Blackstone Group, Equity Office Properties, DreamWorks Animation, Westfield Corporation, and Caruso. Most recently, Paul served as Chief Operating Officer for CenterCal Properties where he was responsible for the oversight and leadership of the entire operating company and was responsible for the launch of its third-party advisory business.

Paul’s most notable accomplishments include launching a $660 million redevelopment and repositioning project for Willis Tower in Chicago, the largest redevelopment project undertaken by The Blackstone Group anywhere in the world and the development of 8500 Burton Way and The Americana at Brand; both mixed-use developments located in Los Angeles.

He held leadership roles in the redevelopment of Westfield Century City and Westfield Valley Fair and oversaw the executive management of Westfield’s west coast operations.

Paul also pioneered a multimillion-dollar retail development and entertainment business for DreamWorks, launching two first-of-its-kind location-based entertainment concepts specifically developed to embrace and enhance the changing retail environment.

President

As president of Centennial, Whitney leads the company’s strategy, property operations, marketing, and client services divisions. She works closely with the executive and property teams to develop and execute accretive operating, repositioning, and redevelopment plans that create long term value for Centennial’s partners and clients.

Prior to joining Centennial, Whitney spent 13 years at Madison Marquette in various leadership roles. Most recently, she served as head of retail property services overseeing over 20 million square feet of real estate.

During her tenure at Madison Marquette, Whitney successfully project managed the visioning, branding, merchandising, and redevelopment or repositioning process for assets owned by the company’s highest priority clients and partners, including PGIM, Blackstone, Principal Financial and UBS among many others. She has a proven track record of building, motivating and leading teams to achieving property and corporate strategic plans.

Whitney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Psychology from Wesleyan University. She is an active member of ICSC, serving on the Board of Trustees, as State Director for Texas, and on the Red River States Conference planning committee. She is a past Chair of the ICSC Texas Convention and in 2019 was named by ICSC as a 4 Under 40 honoree. Whitney is passionate about mentoring the next generation of industry professionals and teaches at the Urban Land Institute’s Center for Leadership.

Jami Wadkins

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Jami leads all of Centennial’s financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury, corporate finance, FP&A, and investor relations. She is instrumental in developing the strategic direction of the company and empowers team members to execute that vision. An integral part of the executive leadership team, Jami believes that no problem can withstand sustained, strategic thinking. 

Jami joined Centennial in 2022 as part of the company’s acquisition of the operating platform of Bayer Properties. Prior to that, she served at Bayer Properties since 2005 in various roles ranging from Controller, to Chief Accounting Officer, to President & Chief Financial Officer at the time of acquisition. Before joining Bayer, Jami was Director of Finance for Books A Million.

Jami holds an MBA in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. She is an avid ‘Bama fan and member of ICSC.

Chief Revenue Officer

Steve leads the overall real estate and tenanting strategy for the Centennial Collection portfolio of regional malls.

Steve brings 32 years of leasing experience to Centennial. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of leasing for General Growth Properties (GGP), where he was responsible for all aspects of permanent leasing for the Central and East region, including managing a staff of leasing professionals, developing and executing real estate strategies for each asset, responsible for financial reviews of each asset, oversight of the leasing objectives for property redevelopments.

Prior to GGP, Steve was co-founder and principal of The North Shore Properties Group, a retail leasing, acquisition, and development real estate company. Before founding North Shore, he held senior level leasing positions at Urban Retail Properties and Equity Properties and Development Company.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from the University of Illinois and is a 30-year member of ICSC.

Chief Investment Officer

As chief investment officer, Carl Tash oversees all of Centennial’s investment activities and growth strategies, including capital markets, investor relations and fund management.

Prior to joining Centennial, Carl spent most of the past decade working for investment firm Starwood Capital Group. He served in several executive positions throughout the company’s global platform ranging from chief credit officer to chief strategist at Starwood Retail, including a post in Luxembourg as chief investment officer for Europe.

Before his time with Starwood, Carl founded Cliffwood Partners, a real estate securities firm specializing in value-oriented REIT and real estate equity investments. He also held executive-level positions with JMB Realty Corporation and its investment subsidiary, JMB Institutional Realty Corp.

Carl holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves on the executive committee of the Zell Lurie Real Estate Center, on the Commercial and Retail Development Council of the Urban Land Institute and as a member of ICSC.
