“We are excited to have been selected to be the transitional steward of Trumbull Mall as it enters an important new chapter and the search for its next owner,” says Paul Kurzawa, Centennial’s president. “Next steps include stabilizing the business and enhancing the guest experience while simultaneously identifying opportunities to create additional value for the community and the property’s stakeholders.”
Comprised of 1.13 million square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space, Trumbull Mall was Connecticut’s first enclosed shopping center. Today, the center boasts over 100 tenants, including popular brands like Macy’s, JCPenney, Target, Apple, Sephora, H&M and Skechers; dining options like Ten Asian Bistro and The Cheesecake Factory; and family-friendly experiences such as Build-A-Bear Workshop and Kidz Klub. Beyond its size and nearly 60-year history as a community hub and gathering place in Connecticut’s well-established and economically stable Fairfield County, one of the mall’s defining attributes is its distinctive and easy-to-navigate loop-style design.
From strategic merchandising to innovative experiential marketing, customized placemaking solutions, community connections and digital solutions that seamlessly merge the physical and digital shopping experience, Centennial has a unique vision for the future of retail real estate that has led to the successful repositioning of retail properties in key markets nationwide. The in-house property management, marketing, leasing and accounting teams Centennial has carefully curated provide a robust services platform that excels in helping retail real estate owners navigate today’s multi-faceted retail market while also planning for future value creation.
