Change in Sick Pay Accrual

As of August 2019, sick time accruals may now reach up to 64 hours per year; an increase from 48 hours under the previous policy.

Sick time accrues at the rate of one hour for each 30 hours worked (excluding overtime) per pay cycle. At the end of the year, any unused sick time will carry over to the next calendar year, capped at 64 hours.

As a reminder, sick time may be used for your own and for your family’s physical and mental illness, physical injury, preventative medical or health care, and health conditions.

Employees begin to accrue sick time upon hire and are eligible to use the time immediately.
